One of the main reasons I decided to embed this YouTube video on our page that should be about "hiring a deck builder" is simply because this guy is a professional and his work is astonishing. He does a great job. The film itself is also nicely edited, showing in about 5 minutes how he managed to build a deck that probably took around a week or so.
So now I'm totally convinced everyone visiting this page should watch the video before hiring a deck contractor or a carpentry contractor that could indeed build the deck of your dreams, in order to see how a truly qualified expert actually works. Also, before hiring them, make sure you ask them the following questions, especially during the screening phase:
- How long have you been in the business?
- Are you locally licensed?
- Are you insured? Can you provide me with the name of your insurance carrier?
- Do you offer a warranty on the work?
- Do you handle local permitting concerns?
- When could you start the project and how long do you think it will take?
- Do you always have a supervisor or owner on-site during the work?
- How comfortable are you working with the material I choose for my deck's construction?
- Can you give me a couple of references that I can contact?
